Take Action on User Fees

Hundreds of thousands of aviation enthusiasts are set to gather at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007 - The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration - on July 23-29. The event and those who attend represent the very spirit and freedom of flight.

But that freedom is in jeopardy as the threat of legislation to impose user fees for air traffic control services continues to loom. If supporters of user fees succeed, the freedom of flying could soon be much less free.

Be Seen and Heard

One of EAA's primary strengths is its ability to bring people together. That's why the principal players in the user fee debate are coming to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007 to discuss this issue and listen to you. Meetings scheduled to be held during the event include:

  • Wednesday's 11:30 a.m. forum in the NATCA pavilion featuring general aviation leaders Tom Poberezny, president, EAA; Phil Boyer, president, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association; Pete Bunce, president, General Aviation Manufacturers Association; and Ed Bolen, president, National Business Aviation Association
  • Thursday's 11:30 a.m. 'Meet the Administrator' forum with FAA Administrator Marion Blakey in the Honda Pavilion
  • Saturday's 11:30 a.m. forum in the Sporty's Pavilion with members of the House Aviation Subcommittee
  • Saturday's appearance by Sen. James M. Inhofe, who sits on the Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure

Since this issue is now being debated in Congress, we need the Washington representatives attending AirVenture Oshkosh to witness our collective opposition to user fees. Make a difference by making yourself seen and heard at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2007!
