As most of you know, Bob Collins and I are both going to be in Oshkosh for
this year's EAA
Airventure event. Bob is very busy working on the logistics and planning for
the RV
Builder's BBQ event. It's going to be the biggest and the best one ever. I'm
busy with my plans for the show as well. I'll be presenting a forum titled,
"Aircraft Documentation & the Web". In the forum I'll be covering
various ways in which builders can use software and Internet resources to speed
building, save money and build community.
Bob and I will both be working on gathering fresh content for the RV Hotline.
We'll update during the event as much as possible. In the issues following
Airventure, keep an eye on the Hotline as we'll be posting our own coverage as
well as coverage provided by other attendees. By all means, if you're going to
the show and putting up stories or a photo/video gallery about your experience,
please let us know and we will link to your stuff. I'm hoping the Hotline can be
an easy source for lots of grassroots coverage for those who won't be able to
attend.
I am excited for the show. Last year's Airventure was the first one I'd attended. I went with only moderate expectations (in spite of all of the hype that seems to get generated in the months -- and months preceding). I was completely blown away. My advice to you, fellow aviation enthusiast is, go to Oshkosh during Airventure. It is awesome and you won't be let down. Watch this space for more coverage details...
So what do you want to see? I have some story ideas that I'll be working on but I'd like to act as the eyes and ears of readers who can't make it this year. Send a note to tell me if there's a particular aircraft or event you want to see a photo of and I'll see what I can do.
Don't worry if you can't come up with something. I'll provide good coverage anyway. I plan on taking lots of RV photo and posting them to share. If you're going to be there with your plane, let me know and I'll seek you out.
